Helena & Tom’s Pre Wedding Photography Shoot at Lazaat, Cottingham, East Yorkshire

Yesterday we had our first pre wedding photoshoot of the 2018 season! The weather was true to form with major April showers providing the backdrop for the photography. Whilst we were unlucky with the weather, we were extremely lucky with our clients Helena and Tom, who carried on as if it was a perfect spring day! I have rarely had the pleasure of working with such a relaxed, easy going couple which made our job so much easier! The location for the shoot was Lazaat in Cottingham, where this lovely couple will hold their wedding reception. Helena and Tom are a lovely couple and we are very much looking forward to photographing their wedding day. I do hope thats the last we will see of the brollies this year!

Preview Wedding photography for Samantha & Steven at Rowley Manor

I am delighted to share the preview wedding photographs for Samantha and Steven who were married yesterday at Rowley Manor, Little Weighton. The day started out rainy but luckily cleared up by the time the main event was underway. Samantha looked stunning in her Maggie Sottero dress. Her flowers were by Love Blooms and she was transported by Pickering Cars. The groom and his bestman arrived in an Aston Martin and were joined by the Stevens nephew Ryan, who was the ring bearer. Jill Fisher provided the autumnal cake and guests were entertained by a caricaturist. November days are short but we managed to do all of the requested photographs before the sun set. We had a lovely day with Samantha and Steven and we wish them every happiness in their future life together.

Preview wedding photography for Hannah & Ben at Tickton Grange, Beverley

We had a lovely day photographing Hannah and Ben’s wedding yesterday, at Tickton Grange, near Beverley, East Yorkshire. This wedding was a little bit special for us as we have literally know Ben since he was a twinkle in his dads eye!  Ben lived a few doors away from us for many years and was a buddy of our son Alex from playgroup through to secondary school and beyond! Ben holds a special place in our hearts and we are delighted that he has found a really lovely girl like Hannah to share his life with. Hannah’s stunning dress was from Deborah Moore, in Hessle and her bouquet was made by Sanctuary Flowers. We started our day with Hannah and her bridesmaids Kayleigh, Kayleigh and mum Kath, who were busy getting ready whilst we took some photographs of the all important details. After a quick portrait of Hannah, we headed out to meet Ben and his best man Craig, who were soon joined by dad Dave, and brothers Nick and Tom for photographs. It was really lovely to see them all again and they were joined by Bens friends for more photos. Before long, it was time for the arrival of the bride and the ceremony. The Rose Room at Tickton Grange, looked beautiful as the bride made her way down the aisle with her friend Kayleigh, and there were a few tears from loved ones. We were fortunate in that the English weather was on our side and we were able to get the group photographs done outside straight after the ceremony and the sun put in a very brief appearance. The couples autumnal colours looked stunning against the autumn leaves on the trees whilst we did the bridal portraits. The traditional speeches followed the wedding breakfast and both Ben and his best man Craig had everyone laughing and cheering! It was a true privilege to photography this wedding, and I must confess to having a tear in my eye on more than one occasion. David and I wish Hannah and Ben a lifetime of love, laughs and happiness and send them lots of hugs.

Preview wedding photography at Cave Castle with Joanne and Neil

I am delighted to share the preview wedding photography for Joanne and Neil who were married on Saturday at All Saints Church, South Cave. We met up with them both earlier in the day to do their couple portraits as well as their family group photographs. This meant that they were able to spend their precious time after the ceremony, with their guests, rather than be tied up with photography. This is the way things are done in America and it certainly makes for a much more relaxed and enjoyable experience for everyone, including us! Joanne and Neil took a stroll to the church with family and friends before taking their vows and afterwards everyone walked back to the Castle together. The bride looked stunning in her dress from Bridal Outlet in Barton, and the grooms suit was from Slaters. The brides made her own cloak, and the bridesmaids dresses were from Elite Bridal in Doncaster. The Cake Room, Hessle supplied the cake and the Beverley Flower Company provided the bouquets. The bride did her own table decorations and they provided the perfect finishing touch to the room. The couple met at Hessle Jive club and they chose dance as their theme for the day. The evening reception got started with a bang, quite literally with a fabulous fireworks display before couple took to the floor for their jive routine. We had a wonderful day with Joanne and Neil and we wish them lots of happiness in their future life together.

Preview wedding photography at Saltmarshe Hall with Jessica & Peter

Congratulations to Jessica and Peter who were married on Saturday at Saltmarshe Hall, East Yorkshire. The couple chose an autumnal theme of orange and red for their special day and we arrived at the Hall early, and were met by the wedding coordinator ,James. It was the first time we have worked with him, and we hope it will not be the last, as he was a real pleasure to work along side. The bride arrived a little after us and went up to her room to begin getting ready. Whilst the girls were busy with hair and make up, we took photographs of the all important details, including the brides stunning dress, which was from Bridal Boutique in Sutton, near Hull. The boys suits were from Greenwoods, with stunning flowers from All Occasions Florist completing the look. The beautiful cake was made by Leni and looked stunning in the hall at Saltmarshe. Following the ceremony guest enjoyed a celebratory drink but unfortunately the rain had set in, so we had to do the family formal photographs inside.  The rain stopped long enough for us to grab a quick confetti shot and some portraits of the bridal party and the newly weds! We had a lovely day with Jessica and Peter and we are very much looking forward to sharing the rest of their wedding photography with them soon!
