Vicky & Sam’s Wedding Photography – Hallmark, North Ferriby

I am delighted to share with you the preview wedding photography for Vicky and Sam who were married at the Hallmark Hotel in North Ferriby this weekend. This was a small intimate wedding attended by close family and friends. Vicky looked stunning in her dress and the beautiful coral of the bridemaids dresses provided a splash of colour. The groomsmen wore suits from Slaters and the lovely flowers were provided by Lucy at Orange Blossom.  The room at the Hallmark looked lovely and after a short but sweet ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed a celebratory drink outside. Although a little chilly in the shade, the weather stayed nice for the happy couple and we were able to do our usual photography outside with the Humber Bridge as our backdrop. Vicky and Sam are a really lovely couple and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with them. I look forward to sharing the rest of their wedding photography with them soon.

Laura and Paul’s Wedding Photography – Elsham Hall, Lincolnshire

I am delighted to share with you the wedding photography for Laura and Paul who were married on Sunday at the fabulous Elsham Hall. Laura looked absolutely stunning in her dress from Ivory Bridal in Barton and was escorted to Elsham by ‘Arrive in Style” one of our favourite wedding car companies! Bridesmaids Melanie, Victoria, Chloe and Raisah looked lovely in their pastel coloured dresses and the theme was carried through beautifully inside the barn by BV Decor. As always, Elsham Hall provides endless lovely locations for wedding photography and we were, once again spoilt for choice. The difference for us today was that Laura and Paul gave us their complete trust and also time, which meant that we were able to create some really lovely photographs for them. Big thanks to the bestman Patrick and the ushers for doing a sterling job of rounding everyone up for the group photographs, and also to the bridal party who were kind enough to join us at the lake after dinner, to work a bit more magic. All brides are beautiful to us, but Laura will always have a special place in our hearts because of her calm and elegant demeanour. Paul was every inch the dashing groom and again, such a joy to be with. Laura and Paul are a truly lovely couple, easy to be around, fun to work with and a total delight to photograph!  Thank you for choosing us – it was a total joy!

Sarah and Kevin’s Wedding Photography, Rowley Manor, East Yorkshire

Our second wedding photography assignment this weekend was for Sarah and Kevin who were married at one of our favourite venues; Rowley Manor. Amanda and the team at Rowley always go the extra mile for their couples and Saturday was no exception. Sarah looked stunning in her dress from ‘Its all about the dress’ in Hedon and her flowers were provided by Milners in Goole. She was attended by three bridesmaids; Zoe, Libby, Teresa who all looked lovely in their royal blue dresses, and little flower girl Francesca. The groom and his attendants were kitted out by Len Becks and were great fun to work with! Special thanks to the bestsman Paul, who did a sterling job of round up everyone for the group photos. There was a real sense of calm in the air today, not to mention love. Sometimes at a wedding, you can actually feel the love in the room and today was just that sort of day – sigh! Sarah just radiated happiness and was an absolute pleasure to be with, as was Kevin and their wonderful family and friends.  Thankfully no rain today and a slight breeze helped us along whilst we were doing the portrait of Sarah. It was a privilege to be a part of this special day and Sarah and Kevin are a really lovely couple. We wish them every happiness in their future life together and look forward to sharing the rest of their wedding photographs with them.

Katie & John’s Wedding Photography – Hessle, East Yorkshire & Lazaat

I am delighted to share with you the wedding photography for Katie and John who were married at All Saints Church, Hessle and held their wedding reception at Lazaat, near Cottingham in East Yorkshire. I first met Katie when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding I photographed and was delighted when she choose us for her wedding photography! I think that Katie wins the prize this year for the most bridesmaids (who were all absolutely gorgeous) and we had great fun working with, Kerry, Lucy, Laura, Rachael, Kimberley, Hannah, Becky and Sophie, not to mention her adorable flower girls including daughter Lila, Isabelle and Madeleine! The bride looked totally stunning in her dress from Samantha’s and the ladies from the shop did a wonderful job of looking after Katie whilst fitting her dress. Katie’s sister-in-law Krysti and Becky, weaved their magic with the bride and bridesmaids hair, and Katie’s make up was done by the very talented Victoria Farr. As as always with Victoria, it was just perfect and lasted the whole day. The groom, the bestman and ushers looked very cool in their suits from Greenwoods and the transport was provided by Silver Lane Cars and the bridesmaid arrived in a fanfare of colour on Andy Lane’s Yorkshire Party Bus.  The beautiful flowers were done by Linda at ‘A Perfect Wedding’, and their fragrance was just divine, and Rachel’s Cakery provided the stunning colour coordinated cake. Despite a couple of heavy thunderstorms, it was a really fantastic day, and we thoroughly enjoyed working with Katie & John and their wonderful friends and family. As always, we find that rainy days offer us a bit of a challenge in looking for new ways to do our photographs, and this day was no exception and we made very good use of the light curtain at Lazaats. Special thanks go to the wonderful team at Lazaats who were kind enough to give us 20 minutes outside with the happy couple, once the rain had ceased. Thank you, it made such a difference to Katie and John, but also made our job just a little easier! I am very much look forward to sharing the rest of their wedding photography with Katie and John soon and wish them both every happiness together.

Lesley and Christopher’s Wedding Photography – Yorkshire Dales

Congratulation to Lesley and Chris who were married yesterday in the Yorkshire Dales. What a fantastic backdrop the Yorkshire Dales provides for wedding photography and just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, Lesley and Chris chose The Priests House at Barden Tower as the location for their special day. We were spoilt for choice for the wedding photography at this fabulous venue but managed to make the most of everything it had to offer. The forecast was a little ominous at the beginning of the week, but thankfully it stayed dry and guests were escorted to the venue in a Vintage bus, along with the groom. The bride arrived in style in a beautiful old style Rolls Royce and was given away by her son, Jonathan and accompanied by her bridesmaid Debbie. The small and intimate ceremony included some poems written especially for the occasion and the happy couple were able to enjoy their celebratory drinks outside, following the formal proceedings. The best man Dave was a great help rounding everyone up for the group photographs and Lesley’s mum June, was determined to join us on the lawn, despite our assurances we would go to her! Lesley was a fantastic sport, donning her walking boots underneath her dress, in order to take a short hike, over a stile and into the field, so that we could get some photographs of her and Chris, with the ruin behind them. Not many brides would have been so game, and she was rewarded with a bit of a laugh when my David, having warned Lesley to watch her step, promptly missed his footing and did a spot of ‘bottom’ ski-ing down into the field! Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to capture that on camera! We had a really wonderful day photographing Lesley and Chris and we wish them a very happy future together.
