Preview wedding photography with Laura & Adrian in Lincolnshire

We had a wonderful day photographing the wedding of Laura and Adrian. They held their wedding at the Grange Park in Messingham and following a really great pre wedding photography shoot, we were certainly looking forward to working with this lovely couple on their special day. Unfortunately the weather was absolutely terrible with heavy rain for most of the day. We started the day with Laura and her bridesmaids Charlie, Maddison and Olivia before heading off to meet up with Adrian and his best man Mark at the Grange Park. The venue looked beautiful and was decorated by Occasions by Leigh with flowers by Flower Theatre and a lovely cake provided by Sandra Winter from Gilly’s Tearoom in Scunthorpe.  The bride arrived in style with a car that had been booked as a surprise by Adrian, and we were able to capture this special moment for her. Undeterred by the rain, Laura laughed as we all wrestled with umbrellas to try and keep her dry. Following the service, the rain continued and we took some group photographs out on the veranda overlooking the golf course and then some shots of the couple inside the reception room. With a little persuasion, the couple headed out onto the front porch, and guests were able to shower them with confetti rather than the rain! As they sat down for their meal, the rain slowed and we were able to dash outside between main course and dessert to grab some pictures of them outside at last! Laura and Adrian are a really lovely couple and we had an absolutely wonderful day with them and their family and friends. We wish them much happiness in their future life together.

Michelle & Nigels wedding photography – The Deep, Hull

I am pleased to share with you the preview wedding photography for Michelle and Nigel who were married on Friday at the Deep in Hull. The whole wedding had a maritime theme and our day began with Michelle at her dads house. Once we had finished photographing the details Michelle got into her lovely in her dress from the the Bridal House in Beverley. Luckily the it stayed dry, and we were able to do some photography in the garden before leaving to head off to the Deep and meet the groom. Nigel looked dashing in his naval uniform and we were able to capture some photographs of him with the groomsmen before he headed inside to see the registrar. Michelle arrived in good time which gave us some valuable moments to capture some special portraits of her, before she went inside. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed celebratory drinks in the observatory whilst we completed our portraits of the happy couple in front of the tank. They were joined there by their  nieces who later in the evening, provided a beautiful ballet performance for all invited guests. After the photographs in front of the tank, we headed outside to make the most of the last rays of light to complete our portraits of the happy couple. Guests waited inside, and confetti and speeches followed on our return. Michelle and Nigel’s stunning cake was made by ‘Cake Love by Jorina” and also picked up on their maritime theme. Michelle and Nigel are a lovely couple and it was lovely to photograph them. We wish them every happiness in their future life together.

Preview Wedding Photography for Claire and Steven

I am delighted to share with you the preview wedding photography for Claire and Steven who were married at Eastrington Church and held their reception at Boothferry Golf Club on Saturday. We arrived early at the brides home and preparations were well under way. The girls had already had their hair done by Pro Styling in Goole and the make up was well in underway. Claire’s gorgeous dress was from Bridal Oasis in Goole and the look was finished off beautifully with her bouquet from All Occasion Flowers, Howden. The bridesmaids Molly, Anna, Jayne and Holly looked lovely in their sage green dresses and little flower girl Jasmine complete the pretty picture in her gorgeous flower girls dress! We met up with Steven and his best man Lee at the church and unfortunately the rain had set in. We were soon joined by ushers Kevin, Antony and Kevin, and were able to dash outside for some photographs, whist there was a brief respite from the rain. Guests began to arrive and were entertained inside the church by singer Matthew Clarke and the rain kept coming! The bride arrived with her father and they made a spirited dash for the church under the cover of an umbrella, and the all important ceremony was soon underway. The couples son Frankie completely stole the show in church dashing around excitedly and sharing his best monster impressions! The happy couple exited the church once the rain eased, and we managed to grab a few group photographs before everyone made their way to the reception. Once at the golf club, the rain eased for a short while and the little ones (and one bigger ‘boy’!) enjoyed blowing bubbles on the first tee! The marque looked beautiful and following the meal, guests were delighted with a surprise appearance from the Singing Waiters and a good time was had by all! Claire and Steven are a really lovely couple and we very much enjoyed being part of their special day. We wish them every happiness for the future and look forward to sharing all of their wedding photography with them soon.

Wedding Photography at Cave Castle with Emily & Jamie

Here is the preview wedding photography for Emily and Jamie who were married on Saturday at Cave Castle Hotel, East Yorkshire. It was another blustery, rainy day and we were lucky in that we managed for the most part to dodge the rain! We met the bride in the morning at Cave Castle and she was busy getting ready with bridesmaids Jade, Jasmine, Claire, Mia, Jennifer, Sophia and daughter Aleeya. Emily was ready on time which gave us enough time to do the bridal portraits whilst the girls got the little ones into their outfits. We then met up with Jamie, his best man Josh and the rest of his groomsmen for some quick photographs before returning to the bride. Guests began to arrive and before long, the bride was met by her father on the stairs at Cave Castle and despite a few tears from Aleeya,  the ceremony was soon underway. The happy couple enjoyed a celebratory drink on the terrace before we began to capture their formal group photographs. The weather looked as if it might offer us another shower, so we headed off to capture some quick portraits of the happy couple, and they had just sat down for their wedding reception when the heavens opened. We managed to squeeze in a couple more pictures after the meal and we were rescued by Michael, the toastmaster, who was kind enough to bring the couple a brolly to save them from a further deluge of rain! Emily and Jamie are a lovely couple and we had a great day photographing their wedding. We wish them every happiness in their future life together.

Emma & James Wedding at the Hallmark, North Ferriby

I am delighted to share with you the preview wedding photography for Emma and James who were married on Friday at the Hallmark Hotel, North Ferriby. It was an awful day weather wise, with heavy rain for most of the time. We started the day with the bride and her bridesmaids Grace, Becky, Emily, Libby and Rose and the girls were busy having the finishing touches done to hair and make up. Emma look lovely in her dress from Jacquelines of Beverley and the look was completed with flowers from Orange Blossom. We were able to do some quick portraits of Emma, her bridemaids and mum and Dave just before another rain shower started. When we arrived at the Hallmark, it was still raining but James and the groomsmen looked super smart in their suits from Len Beck and we took some of their photographs inside the venue. The rain eased and the boys braved the elements and we were able to grab some photographs outside.  We always look forward to the moment when the bride arrives so that we can capture that special moment before she heads down the aisle, but our priority on Friday was keeping Emma nice and dry! The couple had written their own vows to each other which added something special to the ceremony. Following the service guests enjoyed their celebratory drinks whilst we completed the traditional group photographs inside. Once again the rain eased a little and everyone headed outside to throw some confetti. We also managed to get some very quick portraits of the happy couple before they headed inside to enjoy their meal with family and friends. Emma and James are a really lovely couple and we had a great day with them and their family and friends. We wish them every happiness in their future life together.
