Yorkshire Wedding Photographer at Dunedin Country House with Natalie & Robert

As a wedding photographer it is so important to have a good connection with the people you are photographing, and yesterday we had such fun working with Natalie and Rob, who are getting married later on this year at the fabulous Dunedin Country House. It has been a while since we photographed a wedding at Dunedin, so it was great to be back there again. Unfortunately it was a rather cold and windy evening, but undeterred we went into the garden to do a quick pre wedding photography shoot with this lovely couple. All of our full day wedding photography packages include a free pre wedding shoot. It provides a fantastic opportunity for our couples to get used to being in front of the camera and ensures that they are confident on their big day. It also ensures that we can familiarise ourselves with the timing and the plans for the wedding day and can plan our coverage to ensure that is blends seamlessly into the day. The majority of the wedding day is captured naturally in a documentary or reportage style. This means that we basically record the day as it unfolds rather than trying to organise and pose people. This style of working is popular these days, but we often get asked to deliver some formal (or traditional) family groupings as well. On a good day the traditional family groups take us around 20 minutes to complete which means the guests are not standing around for hours waiting for the photographs to be taken. In addition to the traditional groups, we also take lots of candid shots of the happy couple and their guests enjoying the celebrations, and one of our favourite sections of the wedding to photograph is the speeches. This is the perfect time for us to capture people when they are least aware of us and delivers the most natural photographs since usually people have had one or two drinks by this stage. We are really delighted that Natalie and Rob chose us as their wedding photographer, and are very much looking forward to being part of their special day!

Pre wedding photography with Amy & Michael at Rowley Manor

As a wedding photographer, I always enjoy our pre wedding photo shoots with our clients, as it provides the perfect opportunity for us to get to know the couple a little better and to understand exactly what they are hoping for from their wedding photographs. As part of our bespoke service, we provide a free pre wedding photography shoot for every client booking us for the full day. On Wednesday we met up with Amy and Michael at the fabulous Rowley Manor for their pre wedding photography shoot. It was a lovely warm evening and we had our meeting in the cosy bar at Rowley Manor. It is such a lovely venue for a wedding photographer to work at. Not only are the grounds and the house beautiful but the welcome from Amanda and her team is always warm. I have seen just how much care and attention they put into making each and every wedding special for all of their clients and have always found them supportive in helping David and I, to weave our photography magic! It is genuinely one of our favourite places to work as we are very much made to feel part of the ‘Rowley’ team; not something I can say of every venue! After our chat about the arrangements for the big day, we headed outside into the gardens with Amy and Michael to do their photoshoot and what a pleasure it was! Amy and Michael were very relaxed and natural with each other and with us, which made our job so much easier for us. The hard bit was choosing a location from all that Rowley has to offer. Amy and Michael are a lovely couple and we are very much looking forward to photographing their special day!

If you are looking for a wedding photographer who is focussed on providing the best possible service from start to finish, then do get in touch. We are now taking bookings for weddings in 2019 and 2020. If you are getting married in the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire region and are looking for a wedding photographer, we’d love to hear from you!

Sophie & Ryan’s Pre Wedding Photography Shoot at Tickton Grange, near Beverley

We had a lovely evening with Sophie and Ryan on Friday, when we did their pre wedding photography shoot at Tickton Grange, near Beverley. It was a dry evening, though a little overcast and very soggy underfoot. Sophie and Ryan braved the cold and abandoned their coats for the shoot and we were lucky that the gardens had just begun to show signs of spring. Sophie and Ryan are a lovely couple and we very much enjoyed our pre shoot with them. Theirs will be our first wedding of the 2018 season and we are very much looking forward to photographing it!

Helena & Tom’s Pre Wedding Photography Shoot at Lazaat, Cottingham, East Yorkshire

Yesterday we had our first pre wedding photoshoot of the 2018 season! The weather was true to form with major April showers providing the backdrop for the photography. Whilst we were unlucky with the weather, we were extremely lucky with our clients Helena and Tom, who carried on as if it was a perfect spring day! I have rarely had the pleasure of working with such a relaxed, easy going couple which made our job so much easier! The location for the shoot was Lazaat in Cottingham, where this lovely couple will hold their wedding reception. Helena and Tom are a lovely couple and we are very much looking forward to photographing their wedding day. I do hope thats the last we will see of the brollies this year!

Preview Wedding photography for Samantha & Steven at Rowley Manor

I am delighted to share the preview wedding photographs for Samantha and Steven who were married yesterday at Rowley Manor, Little Weighton. The day started out rainy but luckily cleared up by the time the main event was underway. Samantha looked stunning in her Maggie Sottero dress. Her flowers were by Love Blooms and she was transported by Pickering Cars. The groom and his bestman arrived in an Aston Martin and were joined by the Stevens nephew Ryan, who was the ring bearer. Jill Fisher provided the autumnal cake and guests were entertained by a caricaturist. November days are short but we managed to do all of the requested photographs before the sun set. We had a lovely day with Samantha and Steven and we wish them every happiness in their future life together.
