On Saturday we had the honour of shooting the wedding of Teresa and William at the Deep. We are always feel privileged to be photographing a couples wedding, but when asked to undertake the task for long standing friends its very humbling. We have known William since he was a twinkle in his Dad Mark’s eye and so this assignment was extra special for us.We started the day at the brides house and it was lovely to take some photographs of the all important details. Teresa’s stunning dress was perfectly complimented by the flowers from Paragon Arcade and the bridesmaids dresses. Teresa was busy getting ready with bridesmaids Jessica, Chelsea and Sarah and we were able to take some quick bridal portraits before heading off to meet up with William and his best man (and brother) Sam and usher James. We met up with the boys outside of the Deep before William headed inside to see the registrar. The bride was accompanied down the aisle by her Grandma Maureen who looked lovely in navy and white.
Photographing the ceremony at the Deep is always a photography challenge at the Deep, owing to the low light conditions and because we are not able to use flash as it is harmful to the fish. After the service in front of the Cool Seas tank, the happy couple exited the Deep with family and friends for the all important group photographs. The weather was kind to us all and we were able to complete them quickly so that everyone could head back inside and the celebrations could commence. In the Ocean Gallery Teresa and William were cheered in by their loved ones and forgo the traditional confetti in favour of a bubble machine. After speeches and the cutting of the cake the formal dinner took place in front of the main tanks.
Ou thanks to Freya, Steph and the rest of the team at the Deep who looked after everyone, including us very well.
We had a wonderful day with Teresa and William and their family and friends we wish them every happiness in their future life together.
